A few questions regarding PSP?

- The higher the firmware, the more capabilities you get. However, 1.50 is old but its the ideal firmware for running homebrew apps and for running ISO loaders/UMD emulators ILLEGALLY. (emulators are used so that you can run games that you download from the internet for free and store on the memory stick) you can easily upgrade or downgrade your psp into the version you want easily ... however, there is a risk in downgrading 2.71 firmware - yes, you can download hacked programs but iam not sure if that includes MSN ... www.psp-hacks.com - .avi movies can be converted into m4a or avc and then viewed on the psp .... www.pspvideo9.com - No, till now, there's no way you can burn your own UMDs ... but you can get urself a high capacity memory card and keep storing whatever you want on it - there are special devices and cables that can help you connect it to tv ... if you are doubtful about buying a PSP ... there's no need to worry ... psp is the best thing till now ... but you need to buy with a headphone because the one that comes with it is cheap ... and a high capacity memory card to store all your videos and games (instead of buying many games that come on UMDs) i hope that this provides you with sufficient help

In addition to what everybody else has said, why would you want to burn your own UMDs? Just put the data on a memory stick.

ok, lets do this question by question: - what is the difference between the PSP version and which is the best and can i change the versions?... As Sony starts developing ways to make the PSP better (some think it's because they put it out in such a hurry) "firmware" or version updates are released for the PSP. Firmwares consist of upgrades that expand the functionality of your PSP like letting you listen and watch podcasts, and flash. It doesn't matter what version you have to start with, you can always update. - Can i download programs onto my PSP like for example MSN? If you can, it'll have to be a homebrew program, meaning a program made by someone to "hack" the PSP and not Sony - Does it play .avi movies? .avi movies will have to be converted to mp4 using a conversion program like Gameshark media manager, currently the PSP can pretty much only play mp4 and m4v files - Can i burn my own UMDs????????????? Not yet. There are talkes of certain programs for your PC that will translate data into UMD but no one has put out the discs or the caseing for them yet. - Can i connect it to my TV? Sadly not yet, you can watch TV using a Sony location free reciever but as of yet there are no devices for PSP video transfer yet. they come with different size memory sticks you can't download programs but you can use psp portal sites to get features like msn aim myspace etc... no you can not burn your own umds yes you can connect it to your television but you need a third party adapter that cost around $100.00 the company that makes it is digital innovations

not sure exact differences but the newest one is the best u can download things like music and movies i dont know no i dont think u can YET

truethfully, I don't know, what I do know is that I purchased a psp, and was so disapponted in it I took almost a 100.00 loss when I sold it two weeks after purchasing, it was the most unconfortable hand held I ever played, sooooo not worth the money, I suggest if you are going to waist your money on it buy one from a pawn shop, they are much cheaper there.

Wow, I must be outdated lol I'm use to PSP meaning Paint Shop Pro (for the PC anyway).

my sons PSP... You cant burn you own UMD's He couldnt get it to work connected to his tv Unsure about downloading msn...but hey you can give it a shot!
