This worked for me. http://xbox360.getyourdrivers.com/ You have to pay a very small fee BUT it worked, and mine was up and running in under 45 minutes. It beats waiting 6 weeks for microsoft to repair and ship back.

give it 2 me i had it twice.. try putting it in a poor ventilated area if it over heats them light will pop up, or just lie and say you have it free anyway they get the **** and its acting up maybe they will replace it, its worth a try

there are many ways to get it. here is a list: 1.play it normally 2.play it too much/leave it on for a long time 3.barely play it and it should still get it. 4.put it in a crowdy place and play it so it can't "breathe". 5.take a sledgehammer and piledrive it. 6. place it in your bathtub and take a bath with it. 7. let a 3 year old play it.(most effective way) 8.never turn it off untill it gets the rings. 9.just jam stuff into it and go crazy with it. 10. tape all the airholes shut so it will suffocate. 11. do not try all of these steps because if you do, your xbox 360 will explode. on tthe other hand, I don't think that is such a bad idea.

The main cause of the RROD is the mainboard in the 360 warping and losing contact with come of the CPU's pins, if you want the RROD then just let it heat up through use but you probably dont need to go to that extreme to try and fix it. firstly make sure youre putting the disk in properly and also make sure its in the horisontal position (disk trays were never designed to operate on their sides) if youre still having problems then you can either email Microsoft and see if they will cover it under warranty or try and make the 360 overheat and get the RROD although if you do that then they will probably only fix the RROD and ignore the disk drive as that isnt one of the causes of it.

cover all the hole on your xbox 360 with tape

ok what you do is u put it in a draw...a dark draw. that realllly humid and then turn it on for about a week. then im guessing it will. also put hot air in the draw. b careful it doesn catch on fire though

lochie360

if your 360 is scratching cds and stuff, microsoft will still fix it for free. but if it's scratching cds because you stand your 360 up vertically and just can't put the cds in right....that's just your problem

As mentioned, each quadrant on the set of flashing red lights indicates a different issue. If all of the lights but the first section are flashing, this means a general hardware failure has occurred. There is little to be done other than trying to unhook and reattach your cables. This problem is a sure sign a visit to the repair center is in your console’s future. If the problem is indicated in the second quadrant of the system, it is merely overheating. As too many hours of GRAW will do that to a unit, the proposed cure here is to unplug the unit from the power supply, let it sit to cool down, and perhaps begin scouting for a better location to store your precious investment.
