Xbox Elite? Whats the whole deal with Xbox live and Gold and Silver memebership? Help Please i got it today?

Just wanted to clear up a few things. Silver doesn't allow you to do everything accept play online. It lets you access the Marketplace that sells game content and rent movies, send text messages, have a friends list, and go into a one on one private chat. Gold is what you pay for and it lets you do all of that plus play online multiplayer, use the Netflix streamer if you have an account, go into 8 person party chat, and access high profile demos and betas earlier than Silver memberships. With silver, you are technically 'on Live', but you can't actually play over Live with other people.You cannot play online multiplayer with a Silver membership. Yes, Fifa, Burnout, and GTA IV all have online multiplayer. I don't have FIFA or Burnout, but with GTA , you open your character's cell phone in the game and select multiplayer. You can then choose from many different game modes. It will connect you with other people. You will understand this better when you actually play the game. All 360 games with online multiplayer have some sort of multiplayer option in their game menu. It's listed as either 'Xbox Live game' or 'multiplayer' or some form of that. To see if a game actually has online multiplayer, look on the back of the box and it will say 'multiplayer' or 'online' in the little info boxes near the bottom. I'd go with GTA IV. Saints is fun, but I think GTA has a better story and better multiplayer. if you have any more questions or need anything cleared up, let us know.

hi, xbox live silver is free and it allows you to do everything but you cant play games online you can only talk to friends and dowload games etc but if you buy xbox live gold it doess all the above but lets you play online and when your xbox live gold trial runs out you can either pay via credit card on xbox or go to game/gamestation and buy one of the following 1 month gold = £5 3 months gold= £15 12 months = 1 free month = £40 then you type the code on your xbox and it gives you it . simple. so basically if oyu want to play online with mates then go buy gold and then type the code you get into your xbox

the silver membership is a month of xbox live and gold is a year.you cannot play people online without xbox live.you can play almost every game there is online.playing online is really fun and gets you to be really good.i havent played St. row 2 or GTA yet so i dont know.I have xbox live, invite me as a friend. Gold and Silver membership allows you to play online, it's just that gold costs a bit more, but then you get some extra content.

you can buy it on xbox live or go to the store. no. well no you have to have gold. or your firneds live accont. ya you can play them. Saints Row 2 it like GTA but better.

xbox live gold is free for 1 month when you purchase a new xbox but then you need to renew it by going into a store and purchasing a 3 or 12 mth subscription, gold allows you to play Multi player games online. everybody has silver unless they buy gold, silver just allows you chat to friends and purchase down-loadable content but you cannot play against other people online. ger GTA V1 if you want better graphics and game play but get saints row 2 if you want a game that lasts longer.

GTA IV is way better. -You can renew by credit card or prepaid cards at gameshops. You can chat with your ffriends even with out the subscription but u cant -invite them to your chat. -You CANT play live without the subcription -Its kinda boring without live, trust me. -uhm i dk bout direct connect, but theres no way. -my sis has xbox live, you can play with her, i think she has Burnout Paradise. gamertaag: trnjackie23 -also get sum shooters!

You either renew it by buying prepaid cards that come in 3 months, or a year. Gold gives you party chat and video chat, and online play. Silver is the same as Gold just not having the things I had listed for Gold and, you have to wait a week until you can download any new dlc. FIFA,Burnout, and GTAIV all have Live. FIFA is just playing other people, Burnout is just driving around doing challenges that the host decides. GTAIV is racing,deathmatch, and others. There's also a gametype in GTAIV where it's the same as campaign,but no missions. And between SR2 and GTAIV, SR2 is really cartoony and GTAIV is really serious. Both are goood games, but it depends on your prefrence.
