Should i get xbox 360, xbox 360 elite, or a PS3?

Depends how much money you are willing to spend. If you want to make a good choice, regardless of the money, PS3 tops out. It has: -Blu-ray, unlike Xbox that has HD DVD, bluray id better -Free Internet, unlike the xbox that charges a fee to use internet -More Free Downloadables, like demos, videos, updates, and this is important, PLAYSTATION HOME! -Better Graphics, better than Xbox The only things that Xbox has better are: -Cheaper -More Games are out I think that PS3 will win the long run, as the games and console havn't reached their maximun capability yet, they are fairly new, whereas Xbox 360 has been around for ages, and will not improve much more than now. PS3 because you can watch blueray movies! The graphics are amazing...car racing games are almost like being there! But I love the wii. It's completely different and not like any other system!

Yeah. . . . If you are considering buying a 360 Elite then you might as well put out the extra $50 and get a 80gb PS3. Ps3 is much better. Plus the games out now and due for the rest of the year look much better for PS3 as far as exclusives are concerned: The only 360 titles I'm psyched for are Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 (No release date yet). Ps3 has Gran Turismo Prologue Metal Gear Solid 4 Resistance Fall of Man 2 Little Big Planet MotorStorm 2 Haze Final Fantasy 13 Killzone 2 coming out this year. Thats doesn't include the multiplatform games that both systems get: GTA 4 Battlefield Star Wars Th Force Unleashed Guitar Hero : Aerosmith etc. I didn't list games currently out even though there are great ones for both systems, I just listed what you have to look forward to on each systems. Thats doesn't even begin mention how PS3 has Free Online Play, Blu Ray, Internet Browser, Blue Tooth, etc. Ps3 is the better system now. 360 was the better system to buy a year ago but if I had to pick one or the other now it would definitely be PS3. Get a Premium XBOX 360 for sure. It has the largest game library, along with many fantastic exclusive titles (Halo, Mass Effect,...etc). XBOX Live is far beyond anything Sony has come up with. You can download game demos, arcade games, movies, TV Shows, pictures, themes, user created games, additional in-game content, and not to mention the messenger system. XBOX 360 is a far better deal when compared to the PS3. More Games+More Utility+Lower Price=Happy 360 Owner.

XBOX 360 More people own one (or at least a majority liked that idea better), it plays some of the older games, you can download material to increase the play of certain games (example, Rock Band allows you to buy/download more songs than originally came with the game). The Elite is the XBOX 360 with a new paint job and a bigger hard drive.

I have a PS3 and an Xbox 360 (B-day presents from adoring relatives :) ) and i have to say that the difference is minimal between the Xbox and Ps3. The Xbox is cheaper but costs £40.00 annually to attach it to the internet. The Ps3 has more free downloads and a better internet connections, better graphics, is backward formatted (will play PS2 and PS1 games on it) and comes with free unlimited internet access. Overall i think if you have the money that the PS3 is the way to go as long term it's likely to have more addtions to it e.g. Sony are talking about offering a patch to allow you to record programmes off of an attached digibox.

I would definetly go with an Xbox. It has many different features including the marketplace, easy navigation among friends and games and many other features that make it better than the PS3 (this is my personal opinion). Also, I like the Xbox games a lot better than PS3 games (again my opinion). I think that the PS3 is more, if not all, about graphics. The differences between the reg 360 and the elite are the following: the elite has a bigger hardrive, less noise, HDMI cable and a few other things. The main difference is the hard drive space though.
