First, get an education or vocational training in farming. Once you have that you will know the machinery, equipment, and inputs you need.

Farming need no education or graduate.I am also a small scale farmer.Start farming,then you will not stop it.Not only that but also it gives you profit.you can better start farming in terrace.Terrace farming is the best.Because it will get you more profit.Much than that,it will get you peace too.you can start farming vegetables like pea-plant,lady finger,bringal etc.Karnataka is a good place to develop farming.I am an keralian and i am still farming.Kerala,karnataka are places of Good climate.You want no permission.If you are interested in it,then farm.
