It is a sad state of the nation when the young do not know this goal. but to be help full now- to put it simply to grow a better product. this can be measured in many ways volume of produce, better taste , quicker, or with less tending( disease less water or fertilizer) this is why you should join a 4H club or just start a garden or grow a plant and learn how hard it is to be a farmer.
