Why dont people care about recycling anymore?

I always care of recycling.

i recycle! and i agree, its not like its that hard. put cans in a bin and at the end of a week recycle them... people suck thats all i can tell you and this is america so we're all fat and lazy

i think it`s starting to grow a little bit more now of days. now people notice that it`s starting to get hotter because of all the gas we burn &etc. every garbage day, we have half a large can of garbage, and 2-3 recycle bins, while our neighbors had 2 full large cans and maybe 2 or 3 things in the recycle bin. but now i`ve noticed that are neighbors are starting to recycle a little bit more. it only takes one extra second to put a can or jar in the recycle bin, and everything is so fast-paced, that people just don`t stop and look at what they`re doing.

I am the King of recycling. If people were raised to do it they would follow through in life doing it. Unfortunately most are not raised that way. Recycling is learned behavior..

PinkFloMo: Here's a proposal you might want to make to kekeke and Jolly1. Why don't you guys give me ALL your money and I'll promise to squander it as quickly and as needlessly as I possibly can. That's basically their approach to recycling. There's all kinds of natural resources to be used up. Why not squander it all as quickly and as needlessly as possible until all of Earth's precious resources are all used up? -RKO-

I'm not sure whether people care about it anymore or not, but I am sure that if people who care about it are still around, like yourself, we still have a chance. I hate to admit that I don't think many Americans took recycling as anything more than a fad, something to make them look "politically correct" at the moment. I don't think many Americans have the mental aptitude to be able to think beyond a fad or what a poll supposedly says or doesn't say, or what's popular at the moment. Maybe people like you can prove that pessimism wrong. It's a tough job, but I hope you can stick to it. We need strong people like you around. God Bless you.

I recycle aluminum cans and plastic bottles. Sometimes I'll even pick them up when I'm out for a walk and see them by the side of the road.

Actually, I think ppl care more about recycling today then ever! Recycling has become easier, and so people do it more often. It cuts down on garbage fees, and it's free to be taken away right at the doorstep. I think the biggest mistake people make when recycling is taht they don't know if something can be recycled, such as a yogurt cup, and so they throw it out. I think recyclable things should be made clear that they can be recycled, and I think that we should use recyclable materials for more things.

l care l still recycle as much as possible.
