There must be an Infobox in the article something like {{Infobox Person |name = |image = |caption = |birth_date = |birth_place = |known_for = |occupation = |nationality = }} In front of "Image" entry write the name of the image you uploaded. Like |image= famous person.jpg Then it will show up in the article. Also, make an anonymous account, don't edit under your real name. Its not considered good to edit your own biography.
