If u just wanna dive in, use templates that others often leave behind for incomplete entries. If those aren't available, try copy+pasting the material from the same article, leave the structure and formatting intact, but then change the content as u see fit. Also, use the preview button to experiment on how things will look and what does what. Unless u wanna get into the nitty-gritty of wiki, basic edits shouldn't really require a tutorial. have a blast wiki-ing!
