How do you make your own pages on Wikipedia?

Who modifies Wikipedia pages to make sure there's accurate information?

However, aside from the small group of paid moderators, Wikipedia is the open source project. Anyone can request a page to get locked or unlocked, and anyone can edit. Everything must be cited, to keep the information as accurate as possible. Wikipedia has a huge community of dedicated volunteers who go though pages, rewriting and correcting information. The sheer volume of people going though, makes it so that several people who look at a page probably do know what they are talking about, who could correct any mistake. People strive to be as accurate as possible, with most pages having weekly, if not daily updates. In other words, no one but the community checks for accuracy, but the community always trys to correct the information. So it will be right 99% of the time.

But there are sometimes people who are "experts" or particularly passionate about something: they will gather and form a "wikiproject" to coordinate writing and reviewing articles about the subject they like (history, music and so on).
