How reliable is wikipedia?

  • is it reliable enough to use on school homework? please rate wikipedia on a scale from 1 to 10. 10 being most reliable.

  • Answer:

    8. It is reliable for good information but it is not a valid source for a paper or anything like that. If you need official sources, use the ones Wikipedia lists at the bottom of the page. Otherwise, the information is generally good and accurate.

i'll give Wiki a full 10/10. I've got most of my answers there when I was working on a project for school. It didn't miss out on any information and I was able to get a good mark too.

i think it's extremely reliable i have been using it everyday for a couple years now and it has never really failed me. occasionaly i find vandalism but it's quickly removed so it's a great resource why let all the knowledge on wikipedia go to waste?

Wikipedia is a very reliable source. I have used it for many things in college and I still use it today. The only thing you have to watch for is people (corporations) can edit some of the things, but it will tell you if they did on the right side of the page. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10
