How do I access my MSN chat logs?

  • I switched computers, and so I emailed my MSN chat logs to myself. However, when I try to download them with the XML reader, it does not work. Saving them into the chat log folder ...show more

    Try zipping(compressed folder) the chat log folder and email it to yourself again. Or you can even zip the xml files. and if that doesnt work .. then transfer with a flash drive or external hard drive.

You need the style sheet as well. Set your MSN to save the conversations as you did before and have a conversation so it saves one, then go into your chat log folder (My Documents, My Received Files, youremail, History) and there will be a file called MessageLog.xsl. This needs to be in the same folder as your old chat logs as this is the style sheet that tells it how to display the saved conversation (column layout etc).
