Msn messenger and windows live is the same thing...it was used to be known as msn but now it officially windows live... Its better to ask and look stupid for 5 minutes...than not asking and staying stupid for the rest of ur life...

YES they are the same Don't feel stupid, they never make it obvious anywhere... I mean its pretty stupid, the intials dont even stand for it... Now im confused lol i used to not think about it lol X

yes it is basically, just msn changed to windows live, for various reasons, one being that windows live you can use your yahoo username, not just hotmail one. its better to be honest.
