    put msn messenger 8 back in i had same problem put messenger 8 in cam works fine now its a commom problem on live messenger 9

It could be not working for a number of reasons. 1. You may not have the newest version of windows live messenger. 2. You may have the settings wrong on the visual settings part of the control panel. if none of the above are what's wrong you may have to ask a computer specialist. hope this helped. :)

That can be many things, one of them that cam is being used by other applications, other that is not properly spotted by messenger, give it a try with other messengers like yahoo and aol.
