How to make an @hotmail.com account rather than @hotmail.co.uk?

You will need to type hotmail.com, and not co.uk. Then when you sign up, fill any required detials and one option was to select hotmail.com or live.com. Hope that helps ^^

Go to msn.com, a pop-up will appear telling you that you are on the US site and asking whether you want to stay on it or go to the UK one, simply say that you want to stay on the US site then create an account from there, and it will give you the option to choose between @hotmail.com or @live.com for your e-mail address. :)
