Why wont windows live messenger show what i'm listening to?

I have the newest itunes and i downloaded the newer msn and when i listen to my music on my itunes, it doesn't show up on my windows live messenger. I pressed " Show what ...show more

Press the down arrow on your personal message and select show what I'm listening to and if that doesn't work then go in to iTunes settings/options and look for share my "something'' with windows live messenger/other apps.

Go onto Windows Live Messenger, click your name, them go down to Options and click on the about the music, also, Media Player cancels out iTunes, so make sure you don't have Media Player open while you're playing music through iTunes
