Display name, msn dont update?

hi it's curious.. I'm using 8.1 but when use my friends one (7.5) it shows the nick I used before changing to 8.1.. I tried at home removing 8.1 installing 7.5 and the same thing happend.. then I removed 7.5 and installed 8.1 and it changed again .. 0_o... Hmmm.... The MSN display name is something personal or private. It would be a violation of the MSN Privacy Agreement for it to be updated on the back end without the user's knowledge. The user has to do it himself. If at one point, the user already updated it and, still, this happens, this is more of a synchronization issue. The said issue could have been caused by latency or delay between the back end, MSN, and the local machine. Of course, the perspective of time should be factored in. You mentioned "years ago". How about temporary Internet files? Anyway, this is just my take on things. I hope it helps though.
