  • Answer:

The most common cause of computer freezes is a corrupt registry. Most likely your registry is bloated and overstuffed with an assortment of useless pieces of data. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There will be bits of programs which were not completely uninstalled, parts of programs which were never completely installed, fragments of miscellaneous data, useless drivers, and a multitude of other bits and pieces. The answer is to clean your registry and remove all the material which is not needed. http://fix-pc-freezing.com/Clean_Up_Center.htm Get the best one, and completely clean your windows registry with a few clicks of the mouse. Often there is also spyware which is using your computer for nefarious purposes and slowing its operation. Just do two things—Reinstall MSN and scan and fix system errors with Reginout. You will be done with your issue.

First try uninstalling (via Start > Control panel) then re-installing Windows Live Messenger. If the problem is still not solved. Uninstall your webcam drivers/software (again start > control panel), unplug the camera. Then download the latest drivers from the camera's manufacturers website and re-install using them. I also agree that Skype is better for webcamming

This is a common error, I have had this before in the past and lets be honest, MSN is ****! SKYPE is the way to go my friend. Just in-case you don't want to use Skype the check you're not downloading anything or on any websites that would use up a lot of bandwidth whilst using the video feature. Hope this helped.
