Why is windows live messenger called msn i mean the words dont even match xD msn question please help?

msn stands for microsoft network..messenger is just part of it and its shorter to say msn instead of messenger! u can find good emoticons and stuff on msgstuff.com ->u can be sure there r no viruses because its msn lol
