I HATE THE NEW MSN 2011, HOW TO GET OLD ONE BACK ?

How to get your OLD MSN back: First uninstall your new one. Then go to: http://www.oldversion.com/MSN-Messenger.html And download version 8.5 (or whatever version you like) // (since it's the best and most stable one) plus you can use stuffplug, which is by far the best //plugin for msn, with it trust me its 10 times better than msn plus well wherever floats your boat. Then install that version... Alright now the tricky part begins.. since msn wants to prevent you from using older versions, they want to force you to upgrade again (otherwise they won't let you log into their system), but we are not going to do that. Instead of upgrading we're getting ourselves a nice free hex editor. You can get a free one here: "http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/". Install it open it. Klick on open files and navigate to C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger (or whatever directory you installed it in) and open the file called msnmsgr.exe After you've opened the msnmsgr.exe run a search for "winnt" (without the quotes) and replace it with "win98" (without the quotes) save your changes. You should be able to use your old messenger again. tested and works with 8.5 version. Good luck

The same thing happened to me so I did a system restore. Go to Start, then type in system restore. A box will eventually come up that will ask you when you want to restore back to. Just click on the day before you installed this new messenger. Your computer will be restored back to that day, as if you had never downloaded the new one. But I know on my computer now, when I do updates it's trying to get me to update to the new WLM. And if your msn made you download the new one, it just might make you again.

Maybe wait on OldApps for the 2009 version to be up there. I also was tricked into 2011, and I REALLY hate it a lot. (I dont like typing on the side, i dont like having everyone on one window, thats why I dont use trillian dammit.)

There's probably a crack for the old version that sends inaccurate version data to the server or something, but what's wrong with 2011? MSN Plus is certainly already working on a new version, and I hate to break it to you (in case you didn't know) but nobody can see your cool nickname effects unless they also have Plus installed. If they don't, it looks rather annoying.
