How do I stop MSN from popping up?

How do I stop MSN Messenger conversations from popping up while I'm doing other things?

    you better use the option "APPEAR OFFLINE" i guess it would solve ur problem........rahter than getting SIGN-OUT or doing other tricks......

right click on the msn icon and select EXIT, it will start running again on restart

you could sign off while your doing stuff that you don't want to be interrupted. Or try setting your status to busy, I have Windows Live Messenger and that doesn't pop the conversation up while your doing something, it will just make a little sound saying that someone is chatting to you but it won't pop it in front of you. Try download Windows Live Messenger and see if that helps, it's free so don't worry about paying anything.

That seems a bit strange. Once I minimise the window and put it on the task bar at the bottom of the screen then it stays there until I call it up. If somebody sends a message then it simply turns orange and makes a beep noise but it does not pop back on my screen.

Log on as invisible so you can see who is online that you may want to talk to. When you are working on something else no one will bother you.

go to start run type in msconfig. put the dot in bottem and click startup tab it be last on on top. scoll down see if you see it. if you do uncheck it. then ckick on. reboot then windows load put a dot dont show me this box again then ok. hope that helps
