You can also link up to it via down loading AOL's AIM for free too. Personally I found AOL's easiest to use, but having recently changed service provider I am now getting used to Yahoo, and find this just as good to be honest.

Meebo (www.meebo.com) is a web-based IM site that also has some voice and video abilities. Pidgin (www,pidgin.im is an alternative desktop program to use instead of MSN too, but I don't know what kind of video and voice it can support.
