I keep getting a link sent to me and from me to my contacts...anybody know how to stop them??

Answer:
This is a worm virus. When you click on these links, The virus will be downloaded you your computer and then whenever you log on, that link will be sent from your computer to all your contacts online, but without you knowing. So all your other contacts will be getting a link that looks like you sent it, but you didn't really. All they have to do is click this link, and then it happens to them to. This is how a worm virus works. Do a full virus check with antivirus software. The virus is most likely very simple and not constructed well, so the anti virus should be able to detect and remove it. On the matter of stopping people sending YOU the link, THEY will have to remove the virus from their computer. The best thing you can do is ignore these links :)

You have a virus... when people click on the link they get a similar if not worse virus... To get rid of it: - go to http://download.cnet.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html?part=dl-10322935&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=11012914 and download the antivirus (av) -install the antivirus(it's free) and run a full scan on your computer... if you get stuck the av will guide you through -after the scan your pc should be back to normal and the virus gone hope this helps :D :D

It means their computer has been compromised with a worm, which will send out urls (web addresses) containing the same worm if clicked upon. However, this is not in all cases. It sounds like your Windows Live Messenger account has also been compromised - therefore at your earliest convenience you should change not only the password on your account, but also the phrase to your secret question. Once you have done this you should be safe. One way people do this kind of thing is setup rogue websites that look like official Microsoft websites. Some of these may say things like: "How to see if your friends have blocked you", etc. Never enter your email or password in to these websites, this is how your messenger will become 'hijacked'. Never click on suspicious web addresses from friends on MSN Messenger!! This way you'll stay safe. You may want to inform your friends whom send you unsafe urls without their knowledge, that they also need to change their messenger details.

Have a go at changing your password maybe? then they can't get into your account. ALSO, I know there is a button that blocks spam, not sure where it is but if you find it... :) You're saved! so just have a good look around I guess...

Get a YAHOO email account. They have a SPAM filter.
this means you might have a virus on your pc! simply run an anti virus software to detect if you have one i'd be careful because theres been a new virus detected (it was on yahoo a couple of days ago!) hope this helps you x

Change your password.

I've had this too, the best thing to do is to get that person to change their password, mines almost a sentence now! Other than that you can put them on block, you'll see when they're actually online and stay online so you can take them off block to talk to them.
Mouse
The same is happening to me! just exit off the convo.
