Is there a website or program that I can go to to download YouTube videos so I can put them on my iPod?

You can go with keepvid.com (Java Applet must be on your PC) or else you can download Plugins for your browser. Plugins are available for Mozilla, Chrome, Safari like browsers. Go to the Plugin download page & search for YouTube Download

If you have firefox you can get an add on to download videos from youtube. And it is legal if you download form an authorized person to upload the video, it is a loophole dating back to the 1980's
