you need to sign into your gmail acount, then go into webmaster tools, and submit your url to google, a sitemap helps ALOT. then you need to find the yahoo page for submitting your url, they will give u a string to put in your meta tags, put that in for yahoo to verify it. i did this for my forum and it took me about 2 and a half weeks till i was in googles index.
