How do you view a street location?

When google map is showing the street view, is that live picture?

  • i am wondering when i ask google a map and it shows a street view of the location, everything is visible but is that picture a live one or a recorded one?just curious

Well lets think about it for a moment, try looking when it's dark Of course it's a recorded image, how do you think it would be possible to have zillions of satelites and cameras looking at everything worldwide 24/7

no. it's a couple of years old actually in some areas so it might not show recent construction if you're trying to see that, but it's a cool way to see other countries if you can't travel.

I believe the satellite map on Google are recorded and they are not so new! (I think because of cost and the privacy.)
