I want to change my email ID from yahoo to gmail. how can I do it.?

3 ways. A) Make a gmail account and hand transfer everything. B) Make a gmail account and see if you can have all mail going into the other account forwarded into the new account (sometimes you can even transfer contacts via this method) C) Use a tool such as Outlook express and do the same thing as B. (Outlook makes transferring contacts very easy) Truthfully though, they are 2 companies whos interest is to have you use their client. They wont make it easy on you un-fortunately.

The only way to do it would be to e-mail each saved e-mail from your yahoo account to your gmail account individually. There is no transfer function available.

there's no way you can transfer your emails - just keep both addresses. Inform all your contacts that you have a new address and gradually the yahoo address will die out. but you should not expect the change to be immediate - if many people have your old address they will probably keep writing to you on your old address - so let the change be gradual.

you can't just exchange it to a different provider but what you can do is sign up for gmail with the same ID that you had and hope nobody has already taken it Hope this helped
