Open history then right click and delete. If there is a long list you want to delete then left click the first one and hold down shift and left click the last one then righty click any of them and delete.

I have looked and tried to find a way to stop these search bars from holding history and can't seem to find them and I have only checked in to Yahoo's mostly, but find similar road blocks in stopping the history of these tool bars. Regardless of that there is a way that you can delete the history manually. - Click in the search bar. This should give you a drop down of all search history. - Hold the cursor over the entries, highlighting the first entry or whichever entries you want to delete. - Press your <Delete> key. Your entry will then be deleted. You can hold the delete key and as long as you keep the cursor over the entries it will keep deleting. It may only do 5 or so at a time but just follow the same steps until the history you want deleted, or complete history, is deleted to your preference. Hopefully someone can give a better way to do this without so many steps but this way definitely works. Good luck!

In Microsoft Internet Explorer you can easily see a green colour icon (moved arrow) just click on it and it will show you history. You can also go to google search and open down arrow at the end of it's address bar.

it depends on what browser you use. For Firefox, press Shift + Ctrl + Del. Tick Saved form and Search History and click Clear Private Data now. For IE, depends on the version but most probably it's in Tools + Internet Options + Content + Auto Complete. Click on Clear Forms.
