If you want a course, then the very first thing is to get know about networking concepts and then join a CEH (Certified Ethical hacker) and understand the basics of Security. But my personal experience is that these courses will give you only the basic knowledge of what security and ethical hacking is about and how to protect from threats etc. They even will teach you the most popular methods of protection and security, but in my view, you need to be a good computer learner with multiple skills involved. One should know networking, programming, internet, reverse engineering and should have a lot of patience while learning as this may take a period more than 3 years, rest practicing what we know is the best key to become a security expert.
