What are some good and bad things about myspace?

I think that myspace is a good as a website . but the good things and the bad things are usually comes from the members in myspace , and myspace has nothing to do with them

to me there should be an age limit. I don't think that younger kids should be allowed a myspace. I think that they are great though, because I am able to keep in touch with old friends from high school and stuff like that. You know old boyfriends and girlfriends that live hundreds of miles away now. It also helps me promote my business, www.youravon.com/robincook. A personal reason... My best friend, my sister died in February. She was only 34 years old. (i am 22) She is the one who got me into the whole myspace frenzy and made me fall in love. her oldest daughter of 4 kids is 17 and keeping up her myspace profile. All of her friends and family (including me) still send her messages. I wished her a happy mothers day, happy birthday and everything. I know Dana and I know that she is still reading them from heaven and knows how much we all miss her.... to me it is just a little way to keep in touch with her... we talked everyday... I think myspace is great for those who are not going to let idiots take advantage of them.... if you don't want you teen solicited online then don't let them near a computer... it is that simple... Well there are some good things about Myspace such as.. . You can get templates that use HTML better on My Space then Freewebs or Piczo . Have a Music Player playing your fav tunes. Bad things.. . It's very dangerous as a girl was sexually assulted and was found in water at a beach . not really that safe . It might use a uploading files program giving you details out to hackers. . Bad people go to myspace to build up infomation to do to somebody There are many more but I don't know a lot as I don't go on it.

BAD: 1) young children get on it and expose themselves 2) many kids use it as a way to show off how they look and possibly get into a bad situation 3) many kids who use it are not mature enough to understand the dangers of it (like pyscos wanting to meet for sex) 4) anyone..and i mean anyone can find you and all of your information is posted for the whole world to see...thats never safe... Good: 1) kids use it to keep in touch with eachother....(but isnt that what the phone, IM, and e-mail is for???) 2) its really good if you want to get noticed if your in a band or group..a very easy way for people to recognize you...but that can be a good thing or bad.... i hope this helps...:)

the good thing about about myspace is that yoo could meet alot of cool people and hang out with them and chat with them but the thing about it is that some people on myspace are crazy so don't put to much info out

I find that as a minor with a myspace...its not bad...its just a way for communication. along with AIM, MSN, yahoo, everything thats out there, people just target myspace. I like being able to connect. Making connections with others by messaging or by way of bulliten. I can share alot or just keep to myself. You can also keep your information private for just friends.

Bad -There are alot of deceptive people out there soliciting. Good -the opportunity for self reflection, creativity and a few nice people to chat with.

You can talk to other people with your interests and maybe your age. A bad thing is that alot of people on MySpace are superficial and think that MySpace is the greatest thing. Some people are even addicted to it. I would rather not be a MySpacer. But it's all good!

The upside is that you can find old friends (and enemies). It is cool to see what they look like and see what they are up to.
