Is Firefox 3 better than internet explorer 8? Is it true?

Firefox is easier to use. Its more simplistic. Its less vulnerable than IE security wise. It loads web pages, videos etc faster. All in all its just much better than IE. The whole time I have been using Firefox I have experienced very few, very minor problems with it. Whereas when I was using internet explorer, when I had only just got my laptop I began experiencing problems almost instantly. I have used Fireox ever since.

It's really all a matter of your own opinion, but I think Firefox 3 is better because it's customizable, and it just seems to work faster for me.

Absolutely true! More and more techies in the Information Technology field are switching to Firefox on a daily basis, from heavy duty gamers to Systems Administrators. Switch and you'll never go back, (unless you have to administer a applications/systems that does not support Firefox :()

No way, Personally I think internest explorer 8 is way more easier, Its lay out makes it easy to find the buttons your looking for. Firefox is way more difficult.

add-ons and extensions. it is way more customizable and many more websites run more smoothly on it.

Internet explorer 8 is still in beta 2, so it isn't a final product. Even with that compare I would say Fire Fox is still a little better then IE8, but once IE8 becomes final it might be about the same again. Firefox 3 was a bigger upgrade. IE8 I'm not really seeing that much new, some speed increase but not much.
