I have a mesage with attachment how can i open the attachment?

if you're using a mail client like Outlook or Outlook Express, and you can't open the attachment just by double clicking on it, you might need to adjust the security settings. To do this go to Tools/Options/Security, and there should be an option to enable/disable the opening of attachments.

If you have outlook express, click on the paper click on the header in the message, then double click on the attachment. In Yahoo Mail, the attachment is listed in Files at the bottom of the message, and you just click on it. If the attachment is made in a program your computer doesn't have (Microsoft Works, for example) then you probably won't be able to read it. What kind of a message, and what kind of an attachment? Generally you need the program that created the attachment in the first place to read the attachment. Photo editor for a JPG attachment, MS Word for a word document, that type of thing. Want to give more detail?

You have to have the program first, first click on attachment, you can either save it first or open directly

if you dont know who its from---DONT open it. virus alert. otherwise when you click on it it should open, if you ahve the right software. if not ask whomever sent it to you to tell you what software opens it or to send it to you in a software format you have.

you should just be able to double click on it ...but this will only open if you have the original programme that it was made in on your computer for instance if it is a power point file you need to have power point installed on your computer
