    You should help them any way they need it. Then don't ask for about a week. If they still say no, write them a note (or letter in my case) saying how much you want to go horse riding and how you will help pay for it. Say you will go down to the stables, help them out in return for a free lesson. Something like that. I have to do chores for my horse riding lessons. Mine are £15 an hour.

Help them out with paying, do chores, try to find a place that is cheap but good quality horses and stable. Most stables already have helmets to use, and crops etc.

Have a look for low prices (Make sure it's still good quality though) for riding lessons and try and save the money to pay for yourself. Horse riding is very expensive, and that's without all the equipment you would need such as hats and if you chose to ever compete or own a horse in the future. I would see £20-£25 quite expensive for a half hour lesson, I pay £25 for an hour lesson. You could also see if the stables let people work for them in exchange for lessons.
