Local tracks are a great way to start. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to get into oval racing then go to a local track. Drag racing is less expensive because you can run any car on the track. Most drag strips try to keep races fair, so if someone is faster than you they have to wait while you get a head start. It's all on what you want to do. Racing does require money though, a lot. That's the hard part. Most professional driver s (F1 NASCAR NHRA) start at young ages and are born into the sport, but with a little determination and hard work it may pay off in the end. Good luck!
