I want to become a pro drag racer. What is the typical career path from complete beginner to absolute pro?

Just get out to the track! You almost have to live there and love being there. Surround yourself with other racers. This should be a no-brainer! Go to the strip this weekend, and the next until the rest of the year. You have to start somewhere. If you cant do that then you don't have the passion.
