How to race cars?

I want to race sport cars, how do I attain that goal?

  If you don't have 2 million laying around, you can try finding a used Spec Racer Ford or a Mazda MX-5 (AKA Miata) that has a certified roll cage in it. Both have series with tight regulations so you shouldn't need to sink much cash into the car to keep it up to pace. This will allow you to gain experience without the pressures that come at the top, two groups you will want to look at is the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and the National AutoSport Association, (also known as NASA, not to be confused with the Government agency. Links are in the sources. As for the name, it depends on what you are running. If the car has two doors or less (none in the case of SRF) its a sports car. If it has four then its a Touring Car.
