these days it takes lots of money and skill, go to any race meeting and look at 1000's of drivers who don't make it or are in thier senior years and have out 100,000's of dollars into their cars and never make it past state or club level. you have to have the ability to catch the eye of someone who is watching and you don't know when and where. Car clubs and drifting are your best entry points into the sport ,alyhough most of our supercar drivers have a karting background as a junior at 8-10 years of age
