first of all you have to have racing experence...then you have to sign up for the NASCAR instutution (its a college for race car drivers) and go there for a couple of years and you can become a nascar racer :)

Enroll in the Skip Barber racing school. They will teach you every thing you'd ever want to know about racing, get you on the track with other racers, and you'd possibly get a ride in the Barber Pro series. Gotta start somewhere. And if you want to go pro, that's the place to start.

Get an old beater car and work your way up through the ranks of the local short track. You need lots of experience that can only be gained on the racetrack. Only then (and if you are lucky) will you get noticed. Hang around and talk to the older drivers, mechanics, etc. Don't be afraid to work hard or be disappointed (you'll do both). Don't act like you are better than you are or know more than you do. No one will want to help you. Remember that for every Jeff Gordon or Kasey Kahne, are hundreds of guys who never make it that far, let alone at a young age. Don't forget Carl Edwards story--he was a substitute teacher during the week and racing at night and on weekends, handing out business cards with some message like "I can drive your car." He went to NC thinking cousin Ken Schrader would get/give him a job and get him into NASCAR racing. Schrader sent him back to MO to get more experience and look what happened. . .

what kind of cars have you been racing, where at, how old are you, where are you located ? knowing some of this info, maybe be able to point you in the right direction.

find the nearest race track, and go talk to some of the drivers after the next race, offer to help them out, explain your situation. racing is a sport that anyone can get in to but it takes years of learning and alot of luck to have success with. being around the right people and developing connections is the key
