In all of racing, what driver has the most wins?

Formula 1 grand prix racing question?

  • Formula 1 racing who was the better driver Allan prost or senna regardless of the cars or the number of wins or points . Who was better skilled and in thinking also technics ? Thank ...show more

  • Answer:

Senna Senna Senna and a million more times Senna. 1984 Monaco GP- Wet When Prost was in his superior Mclaren and Senna was just a rookie in a horribe Toleman. Senna finished 2nd, though he was catching Prost(who was first) at the rate of around 1 second per lap.The race was stopped due to undrivable conditions, but everybody knows that if it had continued for a couple more laps Senna would have won it. This is the race which put Senna in the spotlight. He was a magician in the wet. Even after he came to Mclaren, he had made Prost's life living hell.

Many people will say Senna, just because his driving style was so unique and fast. Prost was a very different kind of racer. That's what makes them so difficult to compare - if you took two drivers with pretty much the same approach to driving, you could easily say that the faster of the two was better. Senna was a one-lap specialist, and also very good in wet weather. Prost was a tactician - the original 'Jenson Button' approach. Although it wasn't as incredible to see live, he still generated very good results. Whilst I would hate to try and put one above the other - the fact that they were basically equal yet so different made their rivalry so great - I understand that you want an answer, so I'll say Senna.

First, it's "Alain" Prost. Not Allan. Give the driver some respect by getting his name right! I'm not going to say either. I think they were both extremely talented exceptional drivers, and F1 was very lucky that they raced against each other.

One was called The Professor, the other was considered cunning. One was more focused on the whole race rather than pole or the fastest lap,the other would go all out to achieve both. One was prudent and level headed in the rain, the other was fearless and aggressive. So,we can clearly see that Prost`s focus on the whole race and the "slow and steady" approach worked for him.He was nicknamed "The Professor" for his intellectual approach to competition. Skilled at setting up his car for race conditions, Prost would often conserve his brakes and tyres early on in a race, leaving them fresher for a challenge at the end

Both brilliant drivers but Senna the greatest of all time. If you read the book "Prost versus Senna" even Prost seems to concede that Senna was the better driver. Certainly braver and more likely to win at all costs

one is alive after a long career with multiple wins and titles, the other died in a racing crash because he 1) didn't know what the engineers had done to his car and 2) didn't recognize the steering column failure until too late his reckless driving style continuing to the end so clearly in EVERY respect prost was the better driver, the cockpit video of the crash clearly shows senna knew something had failed but didn't lift off or brake

I would say it's impossible to call: they were just too different and how often do you get the chance to see 2 incredible yet totally different drivers fighting it out against each other?! Brilliant competition but impossible to distinguish them - hence all the debate to this day! Senna was daring, impulsive and emotional. Prost was calculating, careful and tactical. I guess it boils down to what do you want to see from your driver? If he gives you a good show, he won't always finish the race. But if he always finishes the race, he won't always give you a good show.

Well, it's a difficult question because Ayrton was more agressive and he was obsessed about winning every single race on the calendar, Alain was quiet and technical and he calculated every single point he had to score, if he had to finish in fifth place he finished in fifth place, Ayrton was the opposite, he always wanted to finish in 1st place . Ayrton was better on qualification sessions, Alain Prost has recognized that from a long time ago, in Alain own words: "Ayrton was the best on qualifications", not to mention that Senna was the best on Wet Conditions . Alain Prost was a very competitive guy, he always was more technical than Ayrton, for example in 1990 he won the Mexican Grand Prix with Ferrari and he won with a lot of strategy and intelligence on the track even when Ayrton's Mclaren was better, he was a very very smart racing driver, and its a real fact that Alain is the most smartest guy in F1 history . So this question is an unanswered question, 'cause they were both different, and Ayrton hadn't existed without Alain and viceversa .
