How can i get started with street racing?

why would you wanna spend money on illegal activities? spend that money on a track car and have fun there.

get a v-8 american muscle car, add twin turbo, custom exhaust, get a new performance chip for it, and add a nos kit. you can build a car like this for any price from $2000 to $6000 depending on the car u start out with, my advice would be to look for camaros(1994-2011), mustangs (all years), and chargers (1985-2005). because if the car u start out with already has 200-300 hp than it is easier and cheaper to upgrade it to make it go faster..................you can find all these upgrades from "carid.com"

School is a great idea, but not for street racing. Learn the possible outcome before ever attempting anything, legal or not. Street Racing starts up from groups of friends with an equal interest, branching out from there, but for many unfortunately ending up in jailtime, and worst of all, fatalities, either for the car occupants or public walking the streets, even at night. If you want to race, saving up for organized legal street racing events is the best way to go ($30 to drive, $10 to watch in san diego-last web link below), no police on your back either-but if you dont yet even have a license, wait until you're old enough to have lessons, and stick to racers on your 360 or ps3 .. no police on your back that way either!

You need to find best place according to your convenience where you can start your racing. You also need to consult with your friends regarding street racing. street racing is a bad idea for novice drivers like u. i sugust you go to your local track with the car you have and practous. save some money and buy a nice tuner car. this will be your project. i dont have to run right off the bat. just little by little buy parts and build it to what ever type of race style you want. and if you realy realy want to street race just go talk to any local auto parts store employe 95% will know when and where the local races are. just dont show up with out a good car.

If you are looking to get into racing as a hobby or career, street racing is def not the right path. If you want to refine your driving skills you should get into goKart racing. But if you really want to use and build your car, there are many local events you can enter as an amateur such as Time Attack. If you are truly good at it you can approach potential sponsors to pay for things such as your event fee in exchange for advertising space on your car. As much fun as street racing really is, when you get caught its not worth it in the end. I speak from experience.
