They are a bit heavy on account of their super thick sole, but it is the thick sole that gives them such warmth. They are also water proof and if your foot gets completely submerged in water, they act like a wet-suit. They also have a great arch and come in a wide variety of widths and sizes and are therefore very comfortable to walk in. Only Prefair offer extra narrow to extra wide widths. Northern Outfitters' Arctic Boot is a warmer and lighter weight boot than Bunny Boots but they are harder to walk in.

I had some problems in having to stand around winterfestivals and photograph until I bought boots with lots of insulation, one size bigger than normal, and wear a thin sock, with a thicker Polartec sock on top of that. They are a little loose (a good thing, tight restricts blood circulation). I got my boots at www.sportsmansguide.com , they have a ton to choose from. gr
