I want to try snowboarding but everyone says skiing is fun to.?

I think it depends on your confidence. I picked up snowboarding really easy but it is having the confidence to lean into the turns. Allot of people say skiing is easier but i have seen far more skiing injuries than on snowboards. Also don't go dry slope if you chose snowboarding as it is crap to learn on go to a proper mountain if you can or somewhere like X-scape (indoor snow slope). I have skied and snowboarded. I love them both. It is my opinion that they are equal in difficulty. I skied when I was growing up, but then I made the painful switch to snowboarding. The first time snowboarding is painful for a majority of the people who try it. I suppose skiing is the same though.

I'd say they're both the same amount of difficulty. But whatever you try first, the other one is going to be SO hard. I started with skiing but then i tried snowboarding and it was really really hard. But my best friend tried snowboarding first, and she really excelled at it. Yet she finds skiing hard. It all depends on your taste i suppose. So don't worry about difficulty, just worry about if you're thinking of trying both xD

I'd say that skiing is easier to pick up but it takes longer to progress. Snowboarding is a bit tougher at the beginner, and more painful, but once you get the gist of it you will progress a lot quicker.
