    Just because its common sense to wear a helmet during an activity that could injure you doesn't mean you need to go ahead and make it a law, she is not the first to die in this sort of accident nor will she be the last. Personally its not that dangerous to ski or snowboard without a helmet if your taking the usual runs, when you get into the park or backcountry thats another story which is why helmets should be mandatory in the park and they are.

no, let people make their own dumb decision not to where one. When they fall and seriously mess themselves up they will wish that they had one on. I always wear one and yes it does offer protection and has saved me from several concussions

I don't think there should be a law. Helmets are a good idea, but are not a replacement for safe skiing. I think it's a good idea when parks make it mandatory to wear a helmet on the terrain parks, but leave the other runs up to you. That way they are encouraging helmets, but not forcing them.

yes they should, there are far too many preventable accidents that happen because someone isn't wearing a helmet or some sort of protection for their head. wearing helmets for skiers AND snowboarders should be required!
