What is the best brand of winter coat?

From what I've heard, Columbia or North Face. However, water-proof coats from Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Abercrombie, and Hollister should work just as well (plus, they're fashionable!) Jackets tend to be more expensive than snow bibs, so find a price that is fashionable and within your spending range!

north face or spyder. north faces are a bit cheaper and they look really nice, you can get a pretty one for about 150, which is what any good quality, warm coat is going to cost you anyway.

My personal recommendation would be Choko, they make snowmobile apparel. Their jackets don't have hoods, but they are very warm and stylish!
