Beginner snowboarding tips?

Take a lesson and pay attention, look up proper clothing, wear a helmet, rent, and most of all HAVE FUN!

it will feel really weird but you actually want to keep most weight (about 60%) on your front foot. you use your front foot to steer and if you naturally lean back you will just be along for the ride. keep a low center of gravity. pretend there is a pole sticking about waist high forward of your front toe and back of your back heel. you want to put your hands on those poles. its also easy to think of it as being a tea pot. if you want to turn right move your forward hand to the right. (like steering a car) and if you want to turn left move your forward hand left. you start a turn by applying gentle pressure on your front toe or heel and allowing the back to follow. as for the first time id just say start out with just keeping low and forward on a small slope and keep trying. make sure if your not going straight down that your edge downhill doesnt dig into the snow. youll find out why. just keep your weight a little back. you will take some falls but thats just a part of it. when you finally make it down without falling you will be hooked for life. i guarantee it. take lessons if you can. And on top of everything else, DONT GET FRUSTRATED AND SKI! ;)
