base layers: DON"T wear cotton, as it gets wet, stays wet, and makes you cold. for stylish base layers look at Cilla cilla.ca or Eesa eesa.com. Unfortunately, good looking rarely is cheap, so you have to trade. Sometimes there are deals on last years stuff, but it's ht or miss, especially as we move into the new season. lots of good helmets out there. I like R.E.D. redprotection.com, Pro-Tec pro-tec.net, and Bern bernunlimited.com. Goggle sunder $70 should be fine look at Spy spyotics.com, Anon anonoptics.com or Smith smithoptics.com.

You could go with thermal-activated headgear, but it'll cost you! Goggle designs are delivered (often) as a vision enhancing, and anti-fog, solution for clement weather. Clear/white lenses are good for after-sunset sessions. Smokey lenses are best for the daytime. There are a variety of color treatments available--check with a pro shop at the resort. You might checkout Pro-Vue goggles online. If you are looking for sexy, at a reasonable price, then Bolle (in past seasons) produced a more rugged and versatile line of goggles [maybe $50]. The cheap goggles are a great value at $14.99, but they might fall apart when not transported with care--upshot, you could reassemble them with :30 patience. Again, the pro shops near the resort have anti-fog solutions--don't want those candy lenses to fog-up! I would probably put more emphasis on a couple of socks rather than fantastic thermals. Try to match the "hottest selling" ski and snowboard graphics/colors. *yellow lenses are best at a specific place and time-of-day
