What is the best place to go skiing and snowboarding in Colorado?

    Each of the Colorado resorts and ski towns are different and unique. I lived in Denver for a long time and travelled all winter to different ski towns. It depends on what you are looking for out of your trip, but I think Breckenridge is the best all around place to ski or board in Colorado. There is a lot of terrain for all levels, the lift lines aren't bad at all, and the town of Breckenridge is very hospitable and friendly. It has all the amenities while still maintaining a small town feel (which you won't find in Keystone, Frisco, or Dillon), and the people are really laid back and friendly (unlike Aspen and even Vail). I have a friend who blogs about Breckenridge. Well it really depends what you want from a resort, because there are so many great ones in Colorado. For an ultra chic resort try Aspen, although it can be expensive. Vail is the largest resort with amazing back bowls if you just want miles and miles or runs / natural terrain and does have lively nightlife. Breckeridge has a good variety of terrain with great nightlife, but if you want somewhere down to earth, friendly and not too pretentious and fairly cheap try Winter Park Resort...They all have great snow! Forget CO, go to Utah - it is cheaper and the snow is better.
