How To Wax Skis?

How often do you need to wax your snowbaord/skis?

    even when a board is new, you still need to get it hot waxed before you ride it because it comes with factory wax which is pretty much useless i usually get 2-3 days of riding out of a good hot wax. You can tell be the way the board rides when its time to get it done again because there is a lot of friction holding you back a lot of people tell you just to do it yourself and really there is no reason you can't but for 10 bucks per wax i just don't see the point in investing in the materials to do it. I take it to our tuning center here and have the supervisor do my board that way i know it gets done well, and if someone there messes up your board they pay to fix it but if you mess it up its coming out of your pocket to get fixed

you should wax your snowboard/ski every time you head to the slopes. this way you can know that you will have a good time shredding. when this years season is over you should wax your board before you put it away for the summer and store it horizontally and not vertically so your wood and base wont get ruined. do this also so your board dosent rust

you should really take your board and skis to a ski shop near you for them to wax them. if you wax them yourself you could ruin the equipment. and you can usually tell when your board and skis need waxed. whenever you seem to be going slower then you usually do or your skis feel like they are sticking to the snow then you should probably get them waxed. hope i helped (:
