What size should the snowboard be?

What size snowboard boots should you get if you wear a size 11.5 shoe size?

  • Im thinking of purchaseing a size 12 online but I am pretty sure they need to be bigger then your regular shoe size

  • Answer:

Never buy boots online. They are by far the most important part of your kit and nothing will make your life suck worse than bad boots. Go to a store and fit as many pairs as you can in as many price ranges as you can afford. Just because a boot costs $300 and the store guy likes them doesn't mean they are the right boot for you. They should be snug but not horribly tight. Your toe should touch the front but not be squished. They will pack out but not too much. Boot sizes will also vary by manufacturer so a size 12 in DC may not be the same as a size 12 in Burton or Vans. Take the time, do the research and spend the money and you will not regret it in the long run. Hey you always try stuff on then go buy it online.

Don't buy the boots online. If you have to return them because they don't fit its a hassle. You'll end up spending weeks trying to get the right one. Go to a ski/snowboard store and try boots on and get the right one. You could also go to the store at your local resort, they should have some boots as well.
