It'll be my first time snowboarding should i rent one or buy a snowboard?

Rent for the first time to make sure you like it, but if you buy, get one that's up to your chin, DO NOT GET ONE TOO BIG OR SMALL, you'll end up wiping out more if it's not sized right. They have different ones for righty and lefty usually.

You know. Even if you had a lot of money, you shouldn't buy a snowboard at once. You should rent a board, anyone in a store that rents snowboards will give you one that fits. Snowboard is a difficult sport. It takes years of practice to do the simplest of things, such as taking one of the lifts up the slopes. A lot of people give up very quickly due to the steep learning curve and therefor I don't recommend you buying a board just yet. Of course, once that you learn how to use the snowboard it is the best feeling in the world. It is such a great feeling when you just do a backflip or just speed down the slopes the fastest you can. I surely do recommend you to rent one and trying it. Just try it out for the longest possible time you can and if you love it, which you will, you can buy a board.
